A Simple Delight

Yesterday, we loaded up and headed out on a “day trip”.  Nanny, Mary Poppins, the little punks, and myself piled in and drove off to spend the day perusing and purchasing until our hearts were content and our backs aching.  (That was mostly do the lugging of two ever-growing boys!)  We were minus one special lady but she was feeling under the weather so decided to stay behind.  We sure missed her though!

I thought I’d give you a glimpse of our first stop on our special day.  Have you ever heard of the company Smucker’s?  I’m sure you have but we visited their store in Orrville, Ohio.

It’s a really neat place with lots to see and taste!  If your ever in the area it’s a great place to explore!

While we were in the Smucker’s store we each sampled one of their tasty treats.  My sample was a lime curd whip.  Let me just say YUM!  It’s about the simplest recipe I’ve ever layed eyes on.  I wanted to give you a chance to indulge in its heavenly delight too!

First ingredient:

Dickinson’s makes this delicious curd.  They served it with the Lime flavor but it could definitely be made with the Lemon just as easily!  It has the perfect balance of citrusy tang to it!

Second ingredient:

Whip together and enjoy!  They served the samples with these:

They were a truly wonderful accompaniment.  Give it a try and if your ever in the neighborhood stop by Smucker’s in Orrville!

More of our day to come…

  1. Did you take any pictures indoors? It looks so neat there! I’d love to go! I’ll have to see if the store there has a website…
